Pediatric Dentist

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate part time Pediatric Dentist to join our clinic. The Pediatric Dentist will be responsible for providing comprehensive dental care to children, from infants to adolescents. This role involves diagnosing, treating, and preventing oral health issues, as well as educating patients and their families on proper oral hygiene practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Care: Examine and diagnose dental conditions in children, including routine checkups, preventive care, and emergency treatment.
• Treatment Plans: Develop individualized treatment plans, including recommendations for procedures such as fillings, extractions, and fluoride treatments.
• Procedures: Perform dental procedures, including but not limited to cleanings, cavity fillings, extractions, sealants, and space maintainers.
• Oral Health Education: Provide parents and children with oral health education, advice on diet, and hygiene practices to promote long-term dental health.
• Behavioral Management: Use effective strategies to manage children’s behavior and ensure a positive dental experience.
• Collaborative Care: Work closely with pediatricians, orthodontists, and other specialists to ensure a holistic approach to the child's health.
• Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including treatment history, diagnoses, and recommendations.
• Follow-up Care: Conduct follow-up visits to monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
• Patient and Family Support: Answer any questions and address concerns from patients and families regarding treatment options or procedures.
• Clinical Administration: Assist with scheduling, billing, and maintaining inventory of dental supplies.

Required Qualifications:

• Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Dental Medicine degree.
• DHA license
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with children and their families.

Job Type: Part-time

Expected hours: 8 per week
