1 to1 Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Prospero Teaching are looking for enthusiastic and experience 1 to 1 Teaching Assistants to inspire and support pupils in one of our excellent Primary Schools in Newcastle. The role is to start in ASAP (from September 2024) and will involve working across EYFS, KS1 and KS2 classes.The role will involve working with pupils with varied SEN and challenging behaviour, so the successful candidate will need to be a resilient practitioner and have excellent relationship-building skills. The school have both full-time and part-time roles available. For the right candidate, there is the strong possibility of the role becoming permanent. The hours of work for the role will be 08.30-16.00

Requirements

· An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service but this is not essential as we can process a new one for you) · Ideally a recognised Childcare-based qualification, although again, this is not essential. · An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff. · A resilient, proactive, and positive nature · Experience in classrooms supporting students. Again, this is not essential. · High levels of enthusiasm, energy and positivity when working with pupils. · A genuine passion for helping young people to fulfil their potential and flourish in education. · An enthusiastic approach and a willingness to engage with and form positive relationships with pupils.
