Reporting into the CFO/Finance Director, you will be responsible for a small team of accounting professionals you will be based on the outskirts of Edinburgh (easy access to M8, M9 and good public transport links). The role has come about due to several factors including growth, restructure and a necessity to evolve with the business needs. The Responsibilities The purpose of this role is to act as the primary contact for the business when it comes to financial matters. Your responsibilities will be wide and varied but ultimately you are accountable for the delivery of financial information and the smooth running of the finance function. On a day-to-day basis you can expect to be responsible for the following; Cash flow management and regular reporting. Budget creation, review and challenge department heads on spend/business plans. Assist in the provision of financial information for the senior leadership team in good financial decision making. Aid the business in securing required financial funding by providing key forecast information. Assist in the improvement of ongoing process improvements as the company continues to grown and expand. Be a strong team manager and support the development of a robust finance function. The Requirements We are looking for a professionally qualified accountant (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent), who has a proven track record of working on a hands on basis within a small and intimate environment. We are looking for an individual who has the ability to look at the high level of information required by the senior leadership team, but also who is hands on at month end. COVID19 statement Our client will be expecting the successful applicant to be based in the office on a blended working model, the model that we are working with is 60% in the office and 40% working at home, however this may change and you may be expected to work more often in the office.
