Job Description
AWE currently has exciting opportunities for Radiation Protection Advisers (RPAs) and Health Physicists (HPs) with varying degrees of experience to join Defence Radiation Protection Services (DRPS), part of our Materials and Analytical Science sub-function based at the Institute of Naval Medicine in Gosport. DRPS is the trusted Partner of high-quality radiation science For UK Defence and Security. As Radiation Protection Adviser to the majority of the Ministry of Defence (MOD), no other organisation in the UK provides radiation protection advice and training across the same range of applications and customers.Requirements

Successful candidates will either hold a current RPA 2000 certificate or have operational experience of providing clear and proportionate radiation protection advice to their customers. Applications for those holding a certificate as a Radioactive Waste Adviser are also welcome. Our RPAs and HPs routinely deliver training to our customers so experience in training delivery is also desirable.
