Looking for a Hands-On Role Where You’ll Make a Real Difference? We’re on the hunt for a dedicated School Caretaker to join our friendly team at a warm and welcoming school in Alcester, Warwickshire. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who takes pride in creating a safe, well-maintained environment for students and staff. What’s the Role About? As our Caretaker, you’ll be the go-to person for keeping our school in top shape. Here’s a quick look at what you’ll be doing: Opening and securing the school each day, ensuring it’s ready for staff and students. Ongoing maintenance tasks, from repairs to general upkeep, making sure everything is running smoothly. Responding to any urgent maintenance needs and keeping our learning spaces in great condition. Maintaining the swimming pool – you’ll be trained on the essentials if you’re not already experienced! Regular testing of fire, security, and water systems to keep our school safe and compliant. Working independently and as part of a team alongside the MAT Facilities Manager to handle any larger projects or safety needs. Who We’re Looking For: Ideally, you’ll have experience as a caretaker or a background in maintenance, facilities, or health and safety. We’re looking for someone who is: Detail-oriented, proactive, and ready to tackle each day with a positive attitude. Comfortable working independently while also being a supportive team player. Safety-minded, with the ability to complete tasks safely and efficiently. Training and ongoing support from the MAT Facilities Manager will be provided, so while experience is a bonus, we’re also open to applicants eager to learn and grow in this role.
