Manufacturing Engineer

Job Description

Randstad are recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer for a client based in Clevedon. They are a global company who, at this site, specialise in manufacturing special purpose machinery.Reporting to the Manufacturing Systems Team Lead, the successful candidate will join a team of manufacturing engineers in a manual assembly production facility, with products involving a mix of electrical, mechanical and pneumatic assembly.

Requirements

Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering degree or engineering qualificationProcess documentation authoring, writing of procedures and work instructionsExperience in optimising production processes as well as providing production supportExperience of problem solving and or utilising root cause analysis tools in a manufacturing environmentAble to work cross functionally, communicate and build working relationships at all levelsAbility to develop technical solutions, to requirements, within agreed timescalesIT literacy - proficient user of MS office and similar applications used in an office environmentUnderstands engineering drawings, schematics and diagramsExperience in implementing the principles of Lean manufacturingTooling design and developmentTechnical knowledge including mechanical, electrical and pneumaticsBasic CAD skills for layout design and design model interrogationMRP/ERP system use - SAPDFM/PFMEA awarenessExperience in implementing change, change managementRisk assessments and understanding of compliance requirements to health and safety, environmental and quality regulationsProject management experience, including risk, schedule and cost
