Vacancy - Assistant Accountant - West Yorkshire AreaOur well respected client, an extremely successful independently owned franchised main car dealership is looking to recruit an Assistant AccountantSalary: Basic - £27,500Hours: Monday - Friday - 8.00am to 4.00pm (30-minute lunch break)Can be flexible on working hoursThis position would be well suited to an experienced Accounts Assistant that is looking to take the next step in their career. Motor trade experience is desirable but is not essential for this position, so if you're an experienced Accounts Assistant from another sector we would love to hear from youThe Job:The Assistant Accountant will be a key member of the accounting function, reporting directly to the Financial Controller they will be an integral part of the accounts department* To assist in the production of the monthly management accounts in a timely and accurate manner* To complete weekly and monthly balance sheet reconciliations ensuring all balances are known and are correct* Reconciliation of Sales DOC daily* Updating daily estimates v actuals* Bonus debt reconciliation and chasing up any outstanding bonus and putting query form in if required* Posting and allocating bonus debts* Process EMAC statements* Reconcile eBay, Shopify and Amazon accounts* Optimising the systems we have in place, making sure are we are using them efficiently* Supervising the Purchase ledger and ensuring all invoices are processed in a timely manner* Supervising the sales ledger and ensuring all debts are collected* To communicate effectively with department managers and assist them with any financial matters required* Daily cashflow forecasts* Cover weekly forecasts in the absence off the Financial ControllerQualifications:1.1 Retail motor trade desirable1.2 SME desirable1.4 Kerridge experience desirableAbout you:* Compliant, pays attention to detail* Systematic, logical* Personable, influential* Able to communicate effectively with peers* Hard worker, committed* Commercial, business-savvy, has 'operational empathy'* Pro-active* Keen to learn and growAdditional Skills:* Excellent organisational and time-management skills* Extensive excel knowledge* Solid understanding of financial systems and processed* Ability to function well in a team* DMS/ITQualifications:AAT part qualified (Final Level) or qualifiedThis is a superb opportunity for the right person, if this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you!Please apply with an up to date CV and we will be in touch to discuss your application further (in confidence of course)
