Job Description
AWE has fantastic new opportunities for Mechanical Design Engineers (CAD) to join our Applied Warhead Engineering Team and apply their expertise in support of AWE's Weapon Projects. The Applied Engineering Group provides expertise that supports the engineering design and development of in-service and future warheads, both directly and in-directly across all key business areas at AWE. It researches, develops and implements new technologies to help improve the capability and efficiency to design, simulate, manufacture and test across AWE.Requirements

Experience of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM)
Experienced in using Computer Aided Design systems
Practical experience of Machine tools and manufacturing processes
Application and knowledge of British and ISO Standards
Application and knowledge of Material selection
An understanding of Finite Element Analysis (FEA)
Proven experience in a Design Office environment
An ability to work with a range of stakeholders (technical & non-technical)
