Our client, a leading medical and health organisation, is seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Secretary to join their team. This is a permanent, full-time position, offering a competitive annual salary ranging from £28,000 to £30,000. The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the efficient functioning of the private medical practise.
Responsibilities:
Efficiently managing and organising the daily schedule, appointments, and meetings for medical professionals.
Providing administrative support by handling correspondence, documents, and reports.
Maintaining patient records and ensuring accurate documentation.
Coordinating with other healthcare professionals to schedule diagnostic tests, surgeries, and consultations.
Managing office supplies and inventory, ensuring they are always well-stocked.
Greeting and assisting patients, ensuring a welcoming and friendly environment.
Handling telephone calls and inquiries promptly and professionally.
Assisting with billing, invoicing, and insurance claims as required.
Adhering to strict confidentiality standards and maintaining patient privacy and data protection.
Requirements:
Previous experience as a Medical Secretary or in a similar administrative role within the healthcare industry is essential.
Strong knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and protocols.
Proficient computer skills and experience with electronic medical record systems.
Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining records.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced environment.
