Join their New Energy Team, providing front-end studies, engineering, procurement, and project management for renewable projects like offshore wind HVDC, ground source heat pumps, and carbon capture developments. They are seeking an experienced HVAC Engineer to be a key contributor to their new energy team based in Gloucestershire. While this role is mainly home-based, there will be periodic visits to their office in Gloucester and customer sites across the south of the UK. This a critical role and as such the salary is open and will be dependant on experience and what you can bring to the role. Key Responsibilities for the Principal HVAC Engineer: Develop system design philosophy and basis for HVAC systems, ensuring alignment with functional, control, and operation philosophies. Evaluate natural/mechanical ventilation systems for energy efficiency. Perform airflow rate calculations based on ventilation requirements and heat emission. Select appropriate HVAC equipment for capacity and suitability. Calculate HVAC utility requirements. Provide input for Master Equipment Lists (MEL). Package Responsible Engineer (PRE), managing procurement, equipment, and subcontractors. Provide input for production of schematic drawings (2D/3D). Experience with FEED reports and detailed execution of project work.

Requirements

A BSc/Engineering degree in a relevant field, with experience in HVAC system design engineering in industries such as Utilities, Energy, or Construction. Strong understanding of project execution and delivery. Proactive and solution-oriented mindset with excellent communication skills. Collaborative team player capable of working in an international environment. Technically adept with analytical skills and commercial awareness. Passionate about developing your expertise and delivering results.
