Creative Arts Assistant

Job Description

Do you have a background in Creative Arts? Are you interested in gaining experience of working with children? We are looking for people who have experience in any of the following; Drama, Dance, Art, Music or Media to take the skills and knowledge that you have and work in a setting where you use them supporting children in a school environment.

Requirements

To be considered for the position of Creative Arts Assistant, candidates must possess:

• Relevant experience in working with children or young people, with a particular focus on those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• A background or qualification in disciplines such as Drama, Dance, Art, Music, or Media is preferred. However, a demonstrable passion for and experience in the creative arts is equally valuable.
• Strong interpersonal skills, as the role involves building positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
• A genuine commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
• The ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the varying needs of students in a dynamic school setting.
• An engaging and enthusiastic personality essential for motivating students in their creative endeavors.
• Successful applicants will need to undergo an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check to ensure the safety of all children in the educational environment.
