Apply NowService Care Solutions have an exciting vacancy for an experience Facilities Officer to join a Housing Association client we are working with in Essex.As a Facilities Officer, you will support in the provision of a safe, secure and maintained environment across hubs.Key duties of this role will be to;Act as a key holder for all hubs and take part in an on-call rota, for alarm calls out of hoursAccount management for the cleaning contractors, ensuring the cleanliness of all sitesConduction monthly walk rounds with the Cleaning Contract ManagerSpace and Health & Safety coordination of activities and events held at the HubsUpdate occupancy reports on a daily basis to assist with space planning requirements.Act as Fire Marshal and First Aider, coordinating the rotasBuilding and statutory maintenance, planned and reactive, including minor repairsBuilding compliance, reporting and implementing action plansPlanned and reactive maintenance of mechanical and electrical systemsRoutine procedures and checks on ancillary equipmentMonitoring of building management systems, identifying and rectifying issuesAd-hoc monitoring and testing of systems and equipmentRecording of maintenance and performance information, updating records and systems accuratelyOperating heating and cooling systems for the comfort of the hubs' occupantsWeekly compliance testing at all hubsRefurbishment of hubsProcurement of materials and services in line with established protocols, systems and value for money principles, including timely renewal of contracts to avoid operational and/or business interruptionSupport on environmental aspects of Facilities ManagementSourcing and maintaining adequate supplies of consumablesCreating purchase ordersCleaning regimes, planned and reactive, internal and externalArrange contractors and sub-contractors to conduct works to the buildingsHubs access control, including the issuing, deactivation and tracking of identity badgesArrange and provide hub induction tours for colleaguesBuilding Health and safety, including risk assessments, risk control, safe ways of workingAdverse weather regimes to ensure people safety
We are seeking a candidate who has previous experience in a similar role and a qualification in Facilities Management, or working towards a qualification and hold an IWFM Certification.Knowledge of health and safety legislation, including IOSH, COSHH, Risk Assessments and safe working practices.IT literate and knowledge of how to use Microsoft officeProven ability to work on own initiative and as part of a teamAbility to undertake manual handling tasks, minor repairs as requiredAble to establish and maintain excellent internal and external customer relationshipsAbility to work at pace in a fast-moving live environment, prioritise and deliver to deadlinesProfessional and positive can-do attitude and flexible approach, adapting to situations and differing needs as they ariseExcellent interpersonal skillsExcellent communication skills both verbal and writtenExcellent organisational skillsExcellent problem solving skillsAbility to travel to various locations as necessary, including out of hours and weekends on an on call rotaUnderstand inclusion and diversityHold a Full UK Driving License
